Jump On The Ferry

Viveros has the closest white sand and clear water beaches from Panama City. It is only a 45 miles trip. The flight takes just about 15 minutes and there is now a daily ferry service to Viveros island (from Friday to Tuesday) departing at 8.00 a.m. from the Balboa harbor. We have made that journey many times. It is spectacular, navigating near the large vessels waiting at the entrance of the transoceanic canal, looking at the city skyline. It is worth every minute – especially if you get a chance to sight whales. It is also a very relaxing way to go to the stunning fully equipped 4-bedroom beach house currently for rent on the island. And one thing is for sure: there is no traffic jam on the way back home on Sunday afternoon!
